Jim's Painting on Cover of UFO Magazine

Jim's painting, done from a sketch he made of me in 1977, is the cover for the current issue of UFO Magazine. The drawing he did is over thirty years old, but he kept it, and about three years ago, did this painting.

I was wearing exactly what's painted here, reading on the deck of a friend's house who lived on the McKenzie River in Oregon. (Can you spot the UFO in the painting? :)

You can subscribe to the magazine, or find it at bookstores like Barnes and Noble. In my area, (Eugene, Oregon) hard to find on news stands, but for some odd reason Winco carries it.

New Categories on Yessy

Two new categories of paintings on the James Rich gallery site on Yessy.com: Spirits and Apparitions, and Figures.

Some overlap; for example, many of the paintings in the Spirits and Apparitions category could also be in the Surreal or Nude (or semi-nude) categories. But as you'll discover, these paintings definitely have an otherworldly aspect to them, invoking nature spirits, esoterica, and the astral realms.
